3 easy reading tips

I have 3 easy reading tips!

First, Find a comfy spot like this hammock to lounge in!

Do you take extra care to enjoy a good book? Would you like some tips to get more out of reading?

It has been a long time since I’ve ugly cried over a book! That is exactly what happened when I cracked the cover of my favorite high school book, Firestorm by Lisa Tawn Bergren.

The main characters, Logan and Reyne go from strangers, to good friends, to something more. Reyne has a past that still haunts her. Does Logan see a future with her, or will her past hold them back? Reyne’s friend Beth has just been diagnosed with cancer after her preventative surgery, her husband and miracle baby, Hope will be left behind if she losses the battle. At the same time Great Bear, a forest fire threatening to take their home in the Valley, is eating up precious timber. Can Logan and Reyne work together, with the ground pounders and smoke jumpers to put it out in time?

Tip #1 Thriftbooks Website

If you’re dying to read Firestorm now, check it out here.

Check out the link above. You will see how affordable reading can be. If you are like me, and want to hold a physical book in your hands, this is perfect. They have such great deals on the site including free shipping with a $10 purchase. It’s also great for college students purchasing textbooks.

Tip #2 Start a Book Club

How fun to sit around with a glass of wine or a mug of coffee and discuss literature with your girlfriends? I think it’s so fun to discuss favorite characters. Debate your favorites and how you wish everyone would have come out alive.

Tip #3 Carve out 30 minutes in your day for reading.

I know…I know you are so busy. How will you have time? What if you scheduled it? After the kids are in bed, while your on the treadmill. Or you could listen to an audio book during you morning commute. Its possible if you make it a priority.

One last thing. Just remember that your missing out on all these amazing stories by not picking up a book. Books can have this great effect on our hearts and souls. The characters become our friends and they take us along on adventures; storming castles, fighting fires and sailing along the coast. We can travel to faraway places. We can become these heroes. I have been a dragon-slyer, a castaway, a CEO, a Pirate, a time-traveler, a fisherman, the heroin, the villain and the narrator. Wouldn’t you like to escape into the pages? Head over to your local library with bag in hand and fill up or use Thriftbooks and they will be at your doorstep in no time. Happy Reading!
