Darrin + Amanda

I found it so refreshing and a little nerve wracking that Darrin and Amanda wanted to wait to see each other until walking down the aisle. This is one of the most amazing traditions that make up a wedding day to me.

Darrin and Amanda had so many moments throughout the day that showed their sincere love for each other and individual character; here are just a few that I witnessed.

Moments like when I asked if Amanda needed help with her flowers or the train of her dress walking from the pond, she serenely smiled and said, “I’m just enjoying this moment.” I want that for all my brides to take that breath and soak in the day.

When she asked me how I felt in the morning and genuinely wanted to know and after hearing about the two day headache I was suffering with, she proceeded to check on me throughout the day and also checked with me the following day. I am well aware how rare this is and I cherished it, knowing I could still give her the results she needed and wanting with all my heart to deliver on her expectations.

From a dance dedicated to a recently deceased grandmother, to the bride asking me to pray over her before she walks down the aisle these were two of the many beautiful moments that added meaning to the wedding.

Finding out she made the first move and he said ‘I love you’ first both came out during the shoe game at the reception. Yard games, tiki torches and a campfire made this summer wedding last long into the night. Antique cars for each bridal party couple added flare and fun!

I am beyond grateful to call this sweet couple friends.

Happy Memorial Day Weekend Lovelies!

Until next month!
