That Time I Was A Florist

It’s incredible how family weddings transpire. On the days leading up to my cousin Lacey’s wedding, we had many late nights exhausting ourselves. Suddenly ordinary things become hilarious, and we are laughing hysterically at nothing; sentences are difficult, inside jokes, and outlandish stories are shared. I love that my sweet cousin took a chance on me, and I took one on myself too when I agreed to arrange the bridal bouquets and boutonnieres. You see, my first wedding didn’t include those so this would be a first for me.
I ordered florals from Global Rose and Flower Farm, choosing my delivery date carefully, ensuring the florals would open by the wedding date. Nerve-wracking doesn’t begin to describe the feelings of arranging florals for my second ever wedding.

And it went like… this.

I was so thrilled Lacey was so pleased with her day. I have to say that is definitely one of my passions; ensuring the bride’s vision comes to life.

As a wedding photographer, I create a fun-loving atmosphere, capturing the most natural moments.

Creating, Decorating, and Executing a plan are just some of the similarities between photography and being a florist; I have found it comes to me effortlessly. That is NOT to say it’s not hard work because both most definitely are, but when it’s your passion it flows out of you naturally.

If you are a 2021 bride and have already booked a photographer, I would love to direct you to my resources. It’s filled with helpful information; if you would like your resources mentioned, leave a comment below. If you have not already booked your Wedding Photographer, of course, I would be elated to hear from you; I would be honored to capture your most special day and give you a great experience at the same time.

This is Miss Annie’s ring, an elderly woman who has since passed on but was extremely special to Lacey. I tied this to her bridal bouquet fulfilling her ‘something borrowed’, but the sentimental value far exceeds that tradition. I loved designing this, but I REALLY loved capturing this too!

Suffice it to say, my heart is a bit divided between photography and florals BUT my first love will always be capturing your special memories. I hope you enjoyed these beautiful images and all this hard work! I hope this finds you well, lovelies.

Until Next month,

xoxo, Klassic Photography
