7 must-have travel items for your next trip

Let me tell you about the 7 must-have items outside my normal essentials I pack for every trip. I do not travel without a single one of these. I will share every single one and explain why. Read all the way to the bottom and you may find a bonus item on the list!

1. Camera. Of course, I’m a photographer so obviously, I would suggest a camera.Your phone doesn’t count! I have included a Canon Digital Camera you can personalize. Especially, if you’re wanting to re-share photos or print any photos. Plus, there is nothing like framing a beautiful photo of your family.

2. Sunglasses or Sunnies. Not only will they shield you from the bright sunshine but it works great for people-watching too. In a non-creepy way, of course. Sunnies can also save you from those terrible squinty photos when your brow is wrinkled.

3. Moisturizer. I’ve linked my favorite moisturizer that comes with a free sample twice a year at Macy’s. Whether it’s lotion or chapstick you can’t go wrong with either one. For this Illinois girl, it’s a must. You never know what dry climate you might be visiting, or sunburn you might need to cover, or the climate in the plane.

4. Travel Pillow. This may sound like a silly option but when you have traveled on a 12-hour flight or been sitting on a train for five hours you’ll thank me. It may feel silly to lug around but your body and neck will thank you. The pillow I have tagged has stress and pain relief

5. Entertainment. Whether it’s downloaded music cued up for your travels or a good mystery novel; You will inevitably have moments during your trip with downtime. Why not fill them with the perfect song or the edge of your seat novel? I’ve attached a favorite song of mine to get your playlist started.

6. Water. I’m sure you are aware of the importance of hydration. I’m still going to tell you that water actually helps energize your muscles though. The cells in your body that are deprived of water actually shrivel and cause muscle fatigue. Smart Water is my favorite bottled water because it doesn’t have an aftertaste. Here’s one of my favorite tips: Take an empty water bottle through security at the airport and fill it up at the fountain on the other side.

7. Blue Diamond Almonds. Not only is this a smart snacking choice, but they now come in many different flavors. They also work well to settle an upset stomach if you’re sensitive while traveling or if you need something to tide you over until the next meal.

Bonus! Hey, how about I tell you all about my new suitcase I’m obsessed over!

8. Away suitcase. Away is not endorsing this post, however when you find a product so great that you have to share it with everyone, why not? Not only does it have a built-in laundry bag but they carry-on version has a phone charger built into it that can be removed to continue charging your phone on your travels. The 360° roller wheels and anyway pulley makes this suitcase the lightest most convenient suitcase I’ve ever owned. (Granted I upgraded from a soft a duffel bag that had a hole in it but who’s keeping track😉)

Thank you for stopping by the blog and reading this post. I want to hear where your traveling and what you can’t leave home without. Leave a comment below and let’s start a conversation.
